Even though we're pretty far north (100 miles from the Canadian border!), we're feeling very akin to our southern neighbors today. Interesting fact: In 2008, the traditions of the Day of the Dead were inscribed in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Here are a few Day of the Dead sentiments from South of the Border: Quien con la esperanza vive, alegre muere. (He who lives with hope, dies happy.) Hay más tiempo que vida. (There is more time than life.) A mí la muerte me pela los dientes. (Death can't do anything to me.")
